The large, already stunning crystal chandelier above the harvest table was given pounds of additional crystal to refract the roaring fire and twinkling candle light. Our client paid homage to the famed designer, Coco Chanel at her party. Much like the the treasured box collection given pride of place in Mademoiselle Chanel's drawing room, the cottage, unassuming and utilitarian on the outside, glistened like a child's fairy tale once the doors were opened to welcome guests.

The place settings were comprised of our client's collected china & sterling flatware. Custom gilt thread embroidered napkins were created by Amy Rohlk (www.monogramsoup.com). Menus donning velvet trim gave the guests a glimpse of what was to come while Chef Kevn Minnick of The Main Course in Quincy, IL, prepared a truly amazing French feast inside the main house on the property.

Each guest was presented with a delicate gardenia, another splendid indulgence while surrounded elsewhere in large poufs of white and cream roses.

The antique alabaster and bronze candelabras that seemed to prance down the table center in the glow of the enormous fire were given very classic solid black candles that dripped decadent puddles of Chanel's steadfast signature color onto the soft white pedals of the fresh roses. As much as the table was a beautiful still life, once candles were lit, guest sat at the table and champagne poured, the table scape came to life and became something of an active, evolving, and entertaining guest at the party.
